Fendi Crystal Series Deep Rain Architectural Glass Wall

THE GLASS

Nathan Allan’s Crystal Series Deep Rain Architectural Glass Wall is a popular feature. However, instead of producing the glass in the standard vertical format, a horizontal pattern was selected. As a result, the horizontal pattern matched all of Fendi’s designer details in the space. To create a textured glass which was also vibrant, Nathan Allan’s rich cognac color finish was added. Therefore, with this beautiful, bold color, the Deep Rain Architectural Glass Wall sizzles inside the tunnel. A beautiful elegant touch is the Crystal beads fused onto the back glass surface. In addition, accented lighting was installed in key areas to create shades and shadows throughout the tunnel. However, the lighting also causes the crystal beads to illuminate profoundly. The finished effect is quite stunning!

SPECIFICATIONS

Various sizes tempered/laminated panels were used in this Deep Rain Architectural Glass Wall. In particular, measuring up to 4’0 (1220mm) wide and up to 9’0 (2743mm) high. However, all panels were cut and formed to specific sizes, ready to install. The Finished front panels were produced using 3/8” (10mm) clear textured glass. Also, the Deep Rain texture was formed in a horizontal direction on the front panels. The back panels are 1/4″ (6mm) clear flat glass. As such, both panels are safety tempered and at the same time, panels are laminated together. The cognac color finish and crystal beads on applied on the back surface. As a result, the color finish and beads are effectively protected.

INSTALLATION

Nathan Allan’s Crystal Series Deep Rain Architectural Glass Wall was installed in combination with Dorma Hardware. Holes are drilled in all panels to accommodate the hardware. In addition, various panels are pinned to the ceiling with Dorma’s standoffs and mounting caps. Accordingly, the vertical wall panels are installed on architectural stainless steel sliders.
