A Glass Design That Stands Out in America’s Loudest, Brightest City
PLANET HOLYWOOD, LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS: THE CITY WHERE EVERYONE IS VYING FOR VISUAL ATTENTION
Amongst the neon lights and impressive architecture, it’s a challenge to create something that stands out. Nathan Allan relished the opportunity to create the energy at Planet Hollywood, a casino with an electricity floating through the air. Patrons have a movie star experience in a fabulous atmosphere that truly epitomizes glamour and excitement.
COLOR AND CREATIVITY SPEAKS VOLUMES LOUDER THAN ORDINARY GLASS
As patrons and players enter into the High Limit Slots area, they are met by our vibrant Citadel Dichroic Glass partition wall. Frameless panels, which appear to float. With compelling texture, vibrant colour, and brightly illuminated, the kiln formed glass partition wall gives an illustrious first impression, which is stirring and energetic.
Nathan Allan, collaborating with Thalden Boyd Emery Architects, chose to incorporate light to our advantage. Casinos often have minimal natural light, so creating illumination for visual impact was crucial. Panels are subtly lighted from below in recessed channels, integrating the glass within the dynamic environment, and creating an incandescent environment with deep shadows.
