Mirage textured glass, from our Classic Textures Directional Series, is a free flowing pattern with fluidly shaped lines of deep texture. Organic molds are produced with deep recesses to allow for the profound surface striations. Each mold is individually created to form a continuous pattern from panel to panel. Nathan Allan’s textured glass panels have an anti-microbial, low maintenance quality, uniquely designed for Healthcare applications.
These Architectural Glass Partitions are formed with 1/2″ (12mm) thick, Low Iron, safety tempered glass. Low Iron glass, a design selection by HDR, appears as a white, crystal clear textured glass, as most of the iron content in the glass has been removed. Various size panels up to 5’0 x 10’0 (1500mm x 3000mm) are incorporated. As thick 1/2″ (12mm) glass panels are used, the thicker glass detail is stronger, and allows for frameless vertical edges, reducing the amount of hardware required.
With HDR (Minnesota) at the design help of this project, the blend of other Architectural materials with Nathan Allan’s Mirage textured glass, forms stunning spaces all throughout this care facility. The continuous pattern design in these kiln formed glass panels creates a seamless appearance, camouflaging separation lines. HDR’s choice of the deeply shaped textured glass lines created a dazzling visual appearance.
All Mirage textured glass panels are installed using high end, commercial quality, glass “shoes”. This heavy duty hardware creates a solid installation and keeps each textured glass panel straight and level. Flat edge surfaces were created in the Mirage Glass to allow the glass to fit easily and tightly within the glass shoes. Incredible installation details performed by WL Hall Building Specialties of Hopkins MN.
